Our on-line ShoreTel quote request tool is considered to be straightforward. You as a purchaser are in control, just answer the different questions below to be matched up with ShoreTel business phone system dealers that can meet your requirements. Having a few business phone system pricing proposals in hand, it becomes much easier for you to make a decision.
Communications are one of the things most defining modern society. People are usually interconnected and exchanging valuable, important information. As a business, your phone system, or "PBX," is the key to keeping communications flowing, making sure employees and customers as well are able exchange information. But what options are there in this ever-changing market?
For the most part , home phone systems are straightforward to make a decision on, with a small number of options and a small amount of providers to decide upon. That's no big surprise, for personal usage, there's not a lot of wide variety when it comes to required functions or advanced functionality.
But a PBX is surely an entirely different decision. Business owners have a variety of different needs and particular goals with regards to communications. Features can make or break your office telephone system, influencing your ability to grow with potential future needs and expansion, your ability to take advantage of the power of the net in your communications network (with technologies such as Voip,) and your capacity to stay bulletproof and immune to services failures, by using products such as power supply back up UPS systems as well as remote management functionality. To give you an idea of just how critical these features could be, think about exactly how your company is impacted by this.
Hiring an operator or receptionist is often times unnecessary, or just unfeasible if you have too many incoming calls. You'll be glad to know that most of the same features can be overseen by many of the current PBX systems. At the most basic level, these "Auto Attendant" features includes options such as allowing your users to navigate a (potentially huge) menu system, reach specific extensions or access information recordings. Maybe someday we'll even have a phone system that will brew a pot of coffee...
More interesting are auto-dial capabilities, which can be used to provide a wide array of useful functions. At the most basic level, many of us associate PBX auto-dialing with robo-calls, or telemarketing. However, the systems can do much more than that, with tasks like sending text messages to cell phones automated for informative personal, departmental, or company-wide alerts and notices. Recordings or messages can be delivered as well, and many packages even provide text to speech for reading messages to the recipient, such as crucial e-mails, news or stock alerts, and more.
A unique option in the market is the "Hosted PBX." Rather than running the system yourself, a hosted PBX is a standard business phone system, hosted and managed by a provider. Often times, this can drive down your costs, and allow for a quick roll out, with little or no equipment needed at your places of business. Calls can easily be routed to other numbers as well, such as cells and home phones. The advantages do come at a price though, with much of your system being tied up remotely, which can become a nightmare should you later switch to a local system. Transferring everything from menus to voicemail to extensions to the new system can become difficult.
Modernizing your current system, or installing your first, it doesn't matter. Upgrading your business phone system to harness the power of the current offerings is a no-brainer. Delving into the features provided by today's PBX systems is exciting and can bring huge rewards in terms of increasing your business's capabilities, productivity, and overall ability to communicate, whether it be with customers, or inter-office communications.
